Hello, I and my friends but I don't know about ours are doing the Slj/ Summer learning journey. I am doing the first task which is easy but it is coloring in a picture from this Link check it out if you will wish. You can do cool amazing coloring in which I think is very cool. I would probably recommend doing it on a phone/tablet because on a Chromebook they are pretty hard. I did juicy cut watermelon I used different colors to be unique and to be different from the other but if you're seeing this and you want to copy add it in your comment I will say yes or no doesn't matter. I feel like you could do it on a Chromebook but It would be hard for some but if you think your up for a challenge do it if you are like a really good person with Chromebooks I don't think it would be a really good challenge but if you just got it um, take a chance. I think it is hard for me even if I'm good at a Chromebook. this is my coloring in! and the one that is the original. the top is mine and the bottom the original.
I am a Year 6 student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.

Sympathy
Sympathy/By Paul Laurence Dunbar Poetry Response
I know What the caged bird feels, Alas! The connection I Made with is that Paul
When the sun is bright on the upland slopes; Wants everyone to think if you ever
When the wind stirs soft through the spring grass Get lost in anything go back and keep
And the river flows like a stream of glass; Going until you get it done. A,b,b,b,a,-
When the first bird sings and the first bud opes, c,c is the rhyming in The first line. The
And the faint perfume from it chalice steals--- Poem has 3 Stanzas and 7 lines in each.
I know what the caged bird feels! In the poem there is Personification
Like, "The wild stirs soft", "The bird
I know why the caged bird sings, ah me, sings", "The river flows like a stream
Till its blood is red on cruel bars; of glass,"
For he must fly back to his perch and cling
When he fain would be on the bough a-swing;
And a pain still throbs in the old, old scars
And they pulse again with a keener sting,---
I know why he beats his wing!
I know why the caged bird sings, ah me,
When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore,---
When he beats his bars and he would be free;
It is not a carol; of joy or glee,
But a prayer that he sends from his heart's deep core,
But a plea, That upward to Heaven he flings---
I know why the caged bird sings!

What I know about poetry now?
What does poetry mean? Well, it means you write about something but in different words. It also means you sort of learning about it or it also means things about it.
This is how I feel about doing poetry: I sort of enjoy it because I can put my feelings down or things I have learned about in class.
